I seem remember the local paper used to have a smiling Chief Wahoo on the masthead when the Indians won and a frowning Wahoo with a crumpled feather when they lost. We would be seeing that sad little chief plenty this year.
One morning last week when I woke up our five year old, the baseball nut, he asked "Did the Indians win last night, Dad?" "No son, they lost" A very matter-of-fact observation followed from the tyke, "They stink!"
And so the rich family tradition continues.
This season's performance will force the front office to re-evaulate the lineup. Delucci is about 18 for 30 as the DH this past week.......18 strikeouts! We became a better team last year when he tore his hamstring!
ReplyDeleteI have never had a major problem with Wedge, but maybe his mantra is getting old.....falling on deaf ears...I just cannot imagine a PROVEN manager not throwing a fit with this production!
JoBo is the 1st to go! We couldn't even get a dozen baseballs for him!
ReplyDeleteCC is gone. Bummer. I hope these guys they get are all that is promised and much more. We need to turn this ship around!
ReplyDeleteThe sad thing is even though they stink I will still watch and root for them.
Thank goodness CC is now in a league where he gets to show all of his talents. With bat in hand, he is a wonder. Dig Prince Fielder and CC in the same line-up. That's a lot of beef.
ReplyDeleteI don't think the all-Ohio World Series will happen this year.
