I wonder if his "ROCK" told him to go there. Do you think Charlie will go there next? I think we are still much better now not having Thome. I would take Pronk any day of the week and twice on Sunday's.
Anybody got word on this Ryan guy?? What is Wicky's story???
According to the White Sox' website, it's a done deal, pending physicals (not automatic, considering Thome's recent history). It will be fun watching big Jim come back to the Jake, as we have never had the opportunity to express our opinions about the way he left town ("it wasn't about the $....the Phillies gave me a 7th year....that way I can finish my career there....that's the important thing) I hope that he and Andrea have thickened their skins in the City of Brotherly Love!
ReplyDeleteBJ Ryan would be a great pickup for the Tribe! He is a young, hard-throwing lefty, with 36 saves last year for the O's (or close to it).
ReplyDeleteI have heard from reliable sources that the Tribe brass is not looking to bring Wick back next year. They can be patient here, as I don't thinkl that he'll field a lot of offers.
So its official Thome goes to the Pale Hose. It was interesting to read that he wanted to come back to Cleveland but the Phillies were asking for both arms and legs. I am so bummed we lost Bob Howry. I wish Hal was still alive to give us the rest of the story.
