A new name for "the Jake"

So it will soon be announced that Jacobs Field will soon be called Progressive Field. I am so not into having a stadium called one thing and then the next day something else. I know its business and there is a lot of money to be made but I still hate it. Why can't they call it Jacobs Field sponsored by Progressive?? So what will the new nickname be? We have "the Q" should we call the baseball field "the P"? I wonder what their logo is going to look like outside of the stadium. Progressive is a very long name compared to Jacobs Field. Update - I like the logo - name is still too long.
I'm just glad 1) I didn't work at Progressive and was recently laid off and 2) I don't have insurance with them because I would wonder why my rates have just gone up - to pay for the name!

I'm looking forward to hearing what the new nickname might be.

  2. I think Peter B. Lewis just wants to have the word "progressive" repeated in connection with a winner in the election year of 2008.

  3. I'm not an Indians fan, nor a baseball fan at all really, but what I can't understand is why don't people keep calling it "the Jake"? It's a great name and it's not like anyone is going to get fined for saying it. Let the announcers and the news bobble-heads use the official name, so what.

  4. Hopefully the Indians will be able to attract Yes, Asia, ELP and old Genesis to play after the games. "See all good people execute a sacrifice bunt!"
