Do you cheer or boo??

Jim Thome returns to Jacobs Field for the first time since he lied and cheated on the Indians fans. Will the fans forget him saying "its not about the money" "she's my rock" That makes it tough - do you throw paper money like we did to Albert "Joey" Belle or rocks to show Thome what we think of his beloved wife?

Limber Joe - please look into your crystal ball and let me know what will happen? My guess is not much - isn't he DH'ing these days?

  1. Forget for a minute the circumstances of his departure. He is the franchise leader in HR's (saving us from Albert Belle being in that spot), and he provided many good memories for Tribe fans.
I say that he deserves a rousing cheer in his first AB, and then never again, as he is now the enemy! Remember, it wasn't about the $!

  2. I think we sit on our hands. Or go for an ice cream when he steps to the plate. The saddest thing about the whole Thome saga is the fact that his "rock" is a product of Bowling Green State University.

  3. Well they booed him. What suprises me is the rousing applause that Johnny Damon go in Boston - there were signs referring to all of his hair but that suprised me. I don't remember the whole free agency thing. Did Boston not counter NY's offer?

  4. Boston is not a typical BB town. I was there last week for a game, and saw literally hundreds of CoCo Crisp jerseys being worn by Red Sox fans.....and CoCo has yet to play a game in Fenway! They love him there (could it be the name? nudge nudge wink wink) The cover of the Beantown Yearbook has Big Poppy pouring milk over Crisp's head.....do not judge anything that Boston does as being the NORM!
